A cheap, fast, effective way to reduce stubble to a manageable asset and you don't have to buy it, just hire it, wear it out and give it back.
The idea of the Stubble Cruncher came from the continuous battle of getting
canola stubble through sowing implements.
The Stubble Cruncher has benefits of; minimal soil disturbance and dust,
retains soil moisture, stubble not prone to blowing away, leaves stock
feed value, eliminates eye injuries in stock and reduces the chance of
disease carry over in a short rotation.
The Stubble Cruncher has been very successful in canola, cereal, sunflower,
corn stubble and rolly polly.
- Canola- Cuts into 6''lengths in one pass.
- Cereal- Knocks down, splits open to allow moisture and microbes in to speed up the breakdown process.
- Corn - Knocks down and splits open for a complete burn, also able to work on raised beds.
- Sunflower- Knocks down and cuts up this awkward stubble.
- Rolly Polly- Cuts off and chops up bush, up to 90% reduction, with minimal pasture damage allowing you to reclaim your lost land.
The Stubble Cruncher is not reliant on speed as it has a definite cutting
action; therefore low horse power is required making it a very fuel efficient
operation.
